Spots to Dots

Site Objective: To view pictures in a a gallery-type website, with descriptions of each category of product.

In early summer, 2007, I was approached by an owner of a small business called "Spots to Dots". She specializes in creating artistic twists to everyday kitchen utensils. The site she was currently using was not up to her expectations, so, she was looking for a cheaper, alternative route to her current website. She contacted me in late May, asking if I could redesign her website.

After drawing up the design, we then moved onto the descriptions of each of the pages. She wanted to make sure that her clients would be able to view all of her designs on the website, as well as descriptions of each item. So, I created a link system to fit her needs for a picture gallery, and descriptions of each of her products.

	This is the main website, as it is laid out. Pay special attention to how the links stay in the same place as you navigate around the website. Also, take note of the color of the navigation as compared to when you enter the photo gallery. Click here to view the main page
	The banner is transparent with a light outline of the background color of the Spots to Dots website so it blends in and lays on top of the background.
	This background is repeated. Notice how none of the dots will be "chopped off", because they are all in the center of the graphic, whole.
	And this, is what the photo gallery main page looks like. Take note of how the navigation changes, only when you are inside the photo gallery. Also, the home and contact links remain in the left-hand menu bar, two choices which will lead a customer back to the regular site. Click here to view the main page of the photo gallery
